This tutorial will teach you how to do selective color change using Lightroom.  There are many times when you might want to change the color of something in an image. Whether it’s clothing, the sky, or something else. This great tutorial will show you how to do just that using only Lightroom.

This helpful video from Mango Street will show you how to change the color of almost anything using Lightroom. It’s normal to use Photoshop for this task, but it’s also possible in Lightroom. I like to stay there unless I truly need to switch over to Photoshop.

While you can adjust the hue, saturation, and luminosity of individual colors via the sliders in the Develop module. This is just a global adjustment and doesn’t let you change specific areas to any color. Using this technique allows you to paint on a specific color using the adjustment brush. The trick is to desaturate the original hue first. The beauty of using an adjustment brush for this is that besides being able to target specific areas, you can control all the usual settings as well, which allows you to convincingly blend the new color.
